My angel was born in December 2007. My husband and I already had a 12-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter, but I’d begged and begged for one more child. My husband finally surprised me with a gift bag that included a pink and a blue pacifier with a card saying he also wanted another baby.
Our son Braden was not due until January, but I kept telling people I wanted him here in time for Christmas. Well, my little guy was listening because he came the week before Christmas after only one hour of labor!
The nurses at Mercy Folsom were so incredible; I had the best experience ever having my third child at Mercy. I didn't want to hand over my little one – I’d waited so long for him. They waited until I was ready, then weighed him and cleaned him up. Because he was a Christmas baby, they delivered him to my hospital room tucked into a stocking with a green knit hat made by the Mad Hatters. I couldn't stop crying. It was an amazing experience.
Everyone at Mercy Folsom made sure I had the best experience ever. We were able to take our little guy home to our now family of five a few days before Christmas and I was able to wake up Christmas morning with him in my arms.
