Mercy Hospital of Folsom’s Delivery Day Stories Contest begins March 8, 2010, and ends April 30, 2010. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m., PDT, on April 30, 2010. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Entries not selected as one of the final winners will be disposed of properly.

ENTRY: Submit your story or video using the links on the Mercy Hospital of Folsom Web site, Family Birth Center page.

Entries must be original and must be submitted by you, the mom who gave birth at Mercy Hospital of Folsom. By entering, you certify that you delivered your baby at Mercy Hospital of Folsom and that your entry does not violate or infringe the rights of another, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights.

LIMIT: One entry per person. Mercy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to request additional information from entrants; to reject, disqualify, modify, edit, and revise any entries, or related materials that are obscene, defamatory, profane, offensive, lewd, pornographic, false, misleading, deceptive, or otherwise inconsistent with our editorial standards, audience expectations, or reputational interests or that we believe may violate any applicable law or regulation or the rights of any third party. Mercy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to verify any element of any entry or related materials and to disqualify any entrant whose participation may subject the contest, Sponsor, or Sponsor's advertisers, clients, or customers to controversy, negative publicity, scorn, or ridicule.

ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to women who have delivered a baby at Mercy Hospital of Folsom and who are 18 years of age or older are eligible. Mercy employees may submit stories, but are not eligible to win prizes. All entries not selected by Mercy as contest winners will be properly disposed of.

JUDGING: On or about May 3, 2010, a qualified panel of judges will judge eligible entries on the basis of uniqueness of the birth story, adherence to theme and composition. One (1) grand prize winner will be selected. Two runner-up winners will also be selected in each category: Funniest, Most Heartwarming, Most Inspirational. Decisions of judges are final and binding in all respects.

PRIZES: The first 100 women to submit a qualified story will receive a free manicure from Assante Day Spa. A total of six (6) runner-up winners will be selected – two (2) from each category: funniest, most heartwarming, most inspirational. Runner-up winners will receive a gift certificate (valued between $50-$150) good at specified local businesses (may include, but not limited to, Chantara Thai Cuisine, Granito’s Folsom, Ambience, Quarry Ponds Shopping Center). One (1) grand prize winner will receive a spa services package from Vitality Med Spa and dinner from Paul Martin's American Bistro (total value around $250). Potential winner will be notified by phone and/or e-mail and prize delivered approximately thirty (30) days from date of winner verification. Mercy reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portions thereof) of equal or greater value if prize (or portions thereof) cannot be awarded as described. Mercy will determine all elements of prize in its sole discretion. Prize may not be assigned, transferred, or changed, except at the sole discretion of Mercy. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee express or implied. Mercy disclaims all and any liability for the actual provision, quality or nature of any third party product or service accepted by the winner. The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules and agree that if winner fails to provide proof of identity, is found to have violated the Official Rules or otherwise does not meet eligibility criteria, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Entrants understand that Mercy is not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this promotion and acceptance, possession and use of prize. Mercy is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prize. Decisions of Mercy are final and binding in all respects.

POSTING WINNING STORIES: By submitting your story, you agree and acknowledge that Mercy may post your story, photo and/or video (as provided by you) on the Mercy Hospital of Folsom Web site (mercyfolsom.org), and/or the Mercy Sacramento YouTube Channel (youtube.com/MercySacramento). Submissions may be edited at the discretion of Mercy to comply with recommended length. Stories should be 250-1,000 words. Videos should be no longer than two (2) minutes in length
