Computerized clinical information system goes live
Last March, we took our first step toward CareConnect, a computerized clinical record system, with the implementation of an electronic medical record. This fall we are one step closer to an entirely paperless system as the new computerized physician order entry system goes live.
This system has built in health safety checks that will help us achieve a higher standard of quality, safety and service for our patients. During this transition, patients and families may notice increased activity and people in our hallways and clinical care areas. We have enlisted additional resources and staff to help with the transition.
Rest assured that all hospital services are operating as usual, and that everyone is aware that patient satisfaction and safety are our top priorities. We appreciate your understanding as we work to make the ways we care for patients even more efficient and up-to-date.
